Contractor Portal Disclaimer
1. Purpose of the Portal
The Portal is a technology platform that supports Best Local Cleaners ("BLC") and its contractors. It is used to view job opportunities, accept or decline jobs, perform on-site check-in/check-out, view RCTI/invoice information, complete training, and exchange support messages. The Portal is provided by Canvas ICT Pty Ltd ("Canvas ICT" / "Canvas Payroll").
2. The Portal is provided "as is" and "as available"
- The Portal may experience delays, errors, outages, planned maintenance, or interruptions caused by third-party providers (for example Google sign-in, hosting, email/SMS, mapping).
- Information shown in the Portal (job lists, statuses, RCTI/invoice values, training progress, attendance records) may briefly be out of date or inaccurate.
- You should not rely on the Portal as a sole record. For binding records, refer to the separate written contractor agreement, RCTI, invoice or payment confirmation issued by BLC or its authorised payment process.
3. No guarantee of work, income or outcomes
The Portal does not guarantee:
- Job allocation, acceptance, frequency or hours of work.
- Income, payment timing or specific RCTI amounts. These are subject to the separate written arrangement and to the work actually performed, verified and approved.
- Continued engagement, exclusivity or any priority access to jobs.
- Availability of any particular cleaner or contractor for a job.
- Customer satisfaction, property condition, bond outcome, or any other service result.
4. Service delivery is the responsibility of the contractor
Canvas Payroll and Canvas ICT operate the Portal infrastructure. They are not responsible for cleaning-service performance, on-site conduct, property conditions, bond decisions, customer disputes, payment disputes, insurance matters or third-party conduct. These are matters between the contractor, BLC and the customer (or other relevant parties).
5. Independent contractor status
Access to the Portal does not, by itself, create employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, franchise, guaranteed work, or exclusivity between you and BLC, Canvas Payroll or Canvas ICT. Independent contractors have different rights and obligations under Australian law from employees.
6. Honest use of check-in and GPS
Where the Portal records a check-in/check-out or location event, you must use the feature honestly and only when actually at the relevant site. Falsifying attendance, GPS location, or work-performed information may result in suspension of access, withholding of payment for the affected job, and other consequences under the contractor arrangement and applicable law.
7. Third-party services and links
The Portal uses third-party services (for example Firebase Authentication, hosting, email/SMS, mapping). Use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. External links from the Portal are provided for convenience only; we do not endorse or accept responsibility for external content.
8. Reliance on Portal information
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you rely on Portal information at your own risk. You agree to verify time-sensitive or financial information directly with BLC or through the separate written records that govern your engagement.
9. Non-excludable rights preserved
Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot be excluded under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) where it applies. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
